Inspired by stuntmen.
The Yamaha MT-07 Moto Cage is keeping company with the brand’s refreshed XJR1300 and the futuristic 01GEN concept at the INTERMOT 2014.
The special variant of the youthful compact naked sportbike pays tribute to the daredevilry of stuntmen. The MT-07 (called as the FZ-07 in USA) Moto Cage stands out with red accents splashed on the matte grey base color. The front wheel is painted in red while the rear wheel gets the usual black treatment.
The Moto Cage is kitted with protectors for the frame, engine and radiator, a bash plate and knuckle guards. The personalized variant also gets an adjustable fly screen and a revised pillion seat.
The bike retains its 689 cc parallel-twin liquid cooled engine which generates an adequate 74.8 PS and 68 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The diamond tubular frame, telescopic fork front and linked monoshock rear suspension system are standard sportsbike stuff. Helping the MT-07 decelerate are the dual-disc upfront and a single disc at the rear.
Dimensionally, the standard MT-07 is 2,085 mm long, 745 mm wide, 1,090 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 1,400 mm. The saddle is 805 mm from the ground.
The Yamaha MT-07 Moto Cage will go on sale in Europe in November 2014 and the pricing will be revealed then.
