Is not the new gen version though.
First sold as a Mahindra Scorpio SUV, Indian utility major Mahindra has relaunched the vehicle as the Mahindra MOV (Mahindra Off-road Vehicle) in Brazil.
The vehicle however is not the new version that launched in India last week.
Assembled in Brazil by Bramont, the M.O.V retains the same looks, except for new graphics, and comes with front airbags, ABS brakes, air conditioning, power steering, radio with CD player and USB input, steering wheel with height adjustment, seats upholstered in leather and room for seven occupants distributed in three rows.
The company will communicate the M.O.V as a vehicle having the qualities of a jeep, yet with the comfort of an SUV.
Under the hood is the 2.2-liter mHawk engine (turbo diesel engine) that develops 120 bhp at 4,000 rpm and 289.2 Nm between 1,600 rpm and 2,800 rpm, complying to Euro V emission norms, and replacing the 2.5-liter unit. The car is driven via a five-speed manual gearbox and comes with a 4WD system.
